Xavier HS Autism
Camp
Xavier High School held it's
2007 Autism football camp and
invited the Fox Valley Force to
help the youth of our area
diagnosed with Autism.  The
kids participated in a number
of events from kickoffs, field
goal kicking, passing and
running drills.
The Force and the Hawks took
a lot of pride giving these kids
an opportunity to play a game
meant for them and more
importantly giving these kids a
chance to smile.
We would like to thank Xavier
High School for inviting us to
be apart of this wonderful
cause and giving us an
opportunity  to give back to our
community and an experience
we will never forget!

COMMUNITY

the Appleton Post Crescent

A small army of about 1,000
volunteers turns out every
year to make the Sack It to
Goodwill donation drive a
success.
That includes the tiniest
Brownies and Cub Scouts.
This year, it also included
6-foot-11, 450-pound
defensive tackle Brian Schultz.
He was one of 17 players and
coaches from the Fox Valley
Force semipro football team
volunteering Saturday.
"I count for two," he said.
The 13th annual donation
drive, sponsored by Goodwill
Industries of North Central
Wisconsin and The
Post-Crescent, collects goods
in 22 communities to restock
the shelves of 21 central
Wisconsin Goodwill stores and
training centers.
It is the single biggest donation
day of the year

The Storm unable to handle the Power of the Force
The 2008 season officially kicked off for the Force
as they routed the host North East Wisconsin
Storm 47-6 at Reedsville High School Sunday
afternoon.
In what was originally billed as a scrimmage, was
changed at the last minute.  The Storm were
scheduled for a home game.  The team they were
supposed to play back out on them so the powers
at be for both the Storm and the Force agreed to
make it a preseason game.

Despite the last second change the Force showed signs of being a national power this year.
Fox Valley cruised out to a 27-0 halftime lead and never looked back.   All three phases of the
Force attack showed signs of dominance this year.  The offense is spearheaded by the best
running back tandem in the state, #34 Willie Garrett and #31 Tyler Mickleson.  The Dark Side
(defense) seems to be even more dominate then they were last year and are arguably the
best in Wisconsin, but ask anyone on the team and they will tell you that today just showed
they have more to work on, "we made a bunch of mistakes out there today, but I think most of it
was just rust, defensively we have a new scheme that is being installed, so that will take a little
time get down to where we don't have to think we can just react.  We were dominate today but
wait until we get this D down, it'll be sick!"
Your Fox Valley Force have high hopes this year.  Coming off a  WSFL Championship last
year they look to defend their title this year.  Then take their show to the national stage and
compete for a AA minor league football title.  Last year the Chicago Thunder of the Mid States
Football League (MSFL) won that honor.  But everyone knows the only way to accomplish their
goals this year is taking it one game at a time.
The first step was taken today.  Next up is the WSFL regular season opener on August 2nd vs.
Kettle Morain Titans in West Bend.

The Force only completed 6 passes in the entire game, but they all  went for touchdowns.  The
defense dominated again holding the Titans  to 17 total yards, causing 8 fumbles, recovering 5
and 1 interception.
Next up, a rematch of the 2007 Championship game, when the West Bend Junkyard Dogs
come to St. Joseph's Middle School in Appleton for the Force's 2008 home opener.  Kickoff is
6pm on Saturday, August 9th, 2008.

Force shutout Dogs 16-0 in Championship rematch!
Your Fox Valley Force traveled down to the
Washington County Fairgrounds on
Saturday and put the entire WSFL and the
state of Wisconsin that there will be no let
down this year and nobody will be taken
lightly.  The proof was a 69-0 defeat of the
expansion Kettle Moraine Titans.  While the
Titans played hard and never quit, but they
were just no match for all of Fox Valley's
defensive and offensive firepower.
Force cruise to 69-0 victory over Titans
In an early season rematch of the
WSFL championship game, the
Fox Valley Force played host to
the West Bend Junkyard Dogs.
The scores were different this
time around, but the results were
the same as the Force blanked
the Dogs 16-0.
In what turned out to be a defensive struggle, the Force were held to just 3 first half points,
provided courtesy of the leg of former Wisconsin Bulldog, Jason Borchardt.  Borchardt would
go on to knock two more through the uprights in the second half to move the Force to 9-0 late
in the game. The Dogs mounted a couple of drives in an attempt to narrow the gap, but a
stingy Force defense turned them away each time. FS Nathan Ryf grabbed his second INT in
as many games to kill one of the Dog's scoring threats.

The Force offense finally hit pay dirt with about 4 minutes remaining in the game as former
Racine Raider Gary Griffin hit WR Jeremy Castleberg for a TD, putting what would be the final
nail in the coffin for the Dogs. Griffin was 11 of 22 passing, for 152 yards and 1 TD on the day.
Castleberg (5 rec for 96yds, 1TD) was Griffin's favorite target in the contest.
